Ted Ligety 2nd in Soelden

Ted Ligety 2nd in Soelden

Ted Ligety kicked off the 2010 Olympic season with an impressive second-place Giant Slalom podium finish during the first World Cup in Soelden, Austria on Sunday. This is the third year in a row Ligety has finished on the podium in Soelden.

“This is the toughest year I’ve raced in Soelden. Today was super bumpy and pretty variable snow. I was psyched to make it down and get second, so it was definitely a good day. I’m super psyched with how I am skiing and it’s a good way to start out the season,” Ligety said.

“This is an exciting start to the Olympic year for Ligety and Rossignol,” said Jesse Keene, US Race Manager for Rossignol. “After Ted’s knee injury at the end of last year he worked really hard to come back strong. We are thrilled that after all the hard work, Ted has proved he is back and stronger than ever.”
